Kannada Poetry Collection ‘Saniha’ by Senior Sub-Registrar Najeer Nadaf Released in Bengaluru

From hardship to hope: a journey of perseverance, poetry, and purpose

BENGALURU: The Kannada poetry collection ‘Saniha’, authored by Shri Najeer Nadaf, a Senior Sub-Registrar currently serving in Bengaluru, was formally released at a literary event held in Bengaluru. The book is a Kannada poetry anthology (ಕವನ ಸಂಕಲನ) that reflects themes of humanity, friendship, social sensitivity, and lived experiences.

Speaking to The Ancient Times, author Najeer Nadaf shared insights into his personal journey, revealing that his path to education and public service was far from easy. He recalled that during his school days, he had to travel nearly 20 kilometres every day to attend school. Due to severe financial difficulties, pursuing education was a constant struggle.

Despite these challenges, he said he never gave up hope. Through determination, discipline, and perseverance, he continued his studies and eventually rose to the position of Senior Sub-Registrar. Reflecting on his literary inclination, Najeer Nadaf stated that life itself taught him poetry, and many of his poems are inspired by his past struggles, emotions, and experiences.

“My difficult days shaped my thinking. Writing poetry became a way to express what life taught me,” he told The Ancient Times.

During the interaction, the author also delivered a strong message to today’s younger generation. He urged students to never misbehave with their parents, to always respect them, and to remain focused on education.

“Study hard, put all your efforts into learning, and never lose hope. One day, you will become a person your parents and society will be proud of,” he said.

Literary speakers at the book release praised Saniha for its emotional depth and social relevance, noting that the poems resonate with real-life experiences and moral values. The book cover symbolically represents peace, coexistence, nature, and scientific thought—elements that align with the philosophical tone of the collection.

With Saniha, Najeer Nadaf not only contributes to contemporary Kannada literature but also stands as an example of how determination and resilience can transform hardship into achievement.

And when we’re as sure of the story as we can be, we want to share it immediately, in whatever way reaches the most people. The Internet didn’t plant these ideas in our heads. We’ve always been this way.
