Advocate Farooq recalled that his friendship with CP Radhakrishnan began decades ago, through an introduction by Former Deputy Prime Minister of India, Shri L. K. Radhakrishnan, the NDA nominee, won with 452 votes, defeating the INDIA bloc’s candidate, Justice B. Sudershan Reddy, who secured 300 votes. As Vice President, he will also serve as the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, playing a pivotal role in parliamentary proceedings.
